The Emerald Toucanet is a beautiful small, mostly green toucan found in humid forests in Mexico and Central America. They spend most of their lives high in the canopy of tall forests, where they feed on various fruits, nuts and even eggs of other birds and small reptiles.
My inspiration for this piece (and the others in this series) is the historical bird illustrators of the 19th Century, particularly Edward Lear, Audubon and Gould.
The original illustration was created with professional, lightfast coloured pencils and acrylic paint on archival pastel mat board.
Colours may vary slightly due to differences in monitor calibrations.
All prints are personally signed and numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.

Prints are ordered on demand from my professional fine art printer in Melbourne, Australia so please allow up to three weeks for delivery.
